Fuzzy and her friend Star were rescued from one of the cat colonies we have helped to manage. These two girls were friendly with their caregiver and he felt that they would do well adopted into a home. One of our foster homes has taken them in and they are now ready for adoption!

** From Fuzzy's Foster Mom **

In 2009 Fuzzy came to live in my home, together with Star. As an approximately 6-month old feral she had some major challenges to overcome in order to adjust to living in a home with people and other pets. From day one Fuzzy showed fewer inhibitions about being around people than Star did, and she settled in to become a very easygoing, yet shy, kitten.

She gets along famously with Star and is equally amiable to the other cats and the dog in my home. If possible, she is even less demanding than Star. Fuzzy literally never, ever asks for anything. The very odd day she will join us at night and would like to be brushed a little bit. Brushing her consists of someone holding the brush on an angle and Fuz rubbing up to it. She likes that so much that she sometimes ends up drooling with pleasure while she purrs her little head off and sticks her tongue out. It’s quite the sight – but it does not happen very often.

She will let you stroke her with one hand however, as soon as you try to get two hands involved she will leave. She does not sit on anyone’s lap and will not be held. She seems very content to be by herself on the couch or the bed upstairs, and will sleep by the hour on the cat climber in front of the window in the living room. Fuzzy has never even gone near the door or tried to leave.

During the years she has been in my home she has never once done anything bad. She has never scratched, hissed or been mean in any way. She never asks or begs for anything and she is not picky about her food at all. She looks like a little, grey butterball and she sure loves her food.

Fuzzy would probably function best in a home with some other animals, preferably with Starry, and no small children. She tends to disappear when small people visit my home, only to reappear once they have left.

Fuzzy is truly a very sweet little girl, and she deserves a nice and quiet forever home.
