**Harley is going to her new home tomorrow where she will be the only spoiled puppy and spend her winter in Florida!

Thank you to everyone who applied. She was very popular and had many applications. We apologize we are not able to contact them all and there were many good ones but we could only pick one. Best of luck Harley! We hope we found you both a perfect match!**

Harley is a very sweet middle-aged yorkie-poo who enjoys rolling on her back and even better if there’s belly rubs involved. She is very quiet in the house and will curl up and sleep – much a like a cat, she likes to escape the hustle and bustle of the home when she does. She does enjoy the odd snuggle on the couch, and as mentioned loves her belly rub and will throw herself at your feet to get one!

Being she’s middle-aged, she still has lots of play energy however, unlike a rambunctious puppy, it comes in 5-10 minute spurts between naps. The bonuses of middle age continue - unlike a puppy she’s also very well behaved in the house, and is fully house broken – no need for crate training! When she’s in the backyard she has a tendency to bark at things she can hear – particularly at those unpredictable squirrels – redirecting her has works very well. She’s been with me for about a month and she hasn’t barked in the house.

She loves being outdoors – watching the world go by or on a good walk! Harley loves being on leash and is far more comfortable around other being when she is. She walks very well and listens while out and around the town – and is very socialable and interested in those she greets.

Sadly, she’s being rehomed because she has trust issues particularly with children but in the home, she is with people/pets and will make it clear when she doesn’t want to be bothered which could be an issue if not kept in check. She is food motivated if given good treats/food and she would do extremely well with positive reinforcement training and boundaries. She should be in a quiet home that is punishment free – she doesn’t react well to even a raised voice. She can tolerate other well-socialized animals but she is nervous of them in the house and will get upset if they don’t behave the way she wants.

She is successfully eating her full meal on schedule. And even started hopping on the couch with me and her 4 foster siblings for short periods as she learns to trust me and her siblings. At first she was terrified of my cat but now LOVES to play with him and will bug him to chase her! It’s the cutest thing in the word. She loves to play with her siblings as long as the energy doesn’t get to high. She runs around like crazy if you pretend to play with her, she plays “fetch” however her leave it needs work
